Story Summary

Close your eyes,

Imagine a nice, lively city with lots of people who order food every now and then.

Now imagine that it's also completely normal that there is always a giant tornado ravaging through the city.

Now imagine that you're the one who is tasked with delivering food to people.

Yeah that about sums up the game.


Windy Delivery is a fast paced delivery game where you try to get as high a score as possible all while trying to avoid the barrage of cars and garbage bins being flung at you with terminal velocity. Oh and there's a tornado.


Controls

WASD - Movement

Space - Jump

Shift - Sprint

R - Restart (when prompted)

Escape - Exit game


Debug/Beta controls

G - Toggle Grappling Hook

Scroll up/down - Change look sensitivity

LeftAlt - Invert Y look axis


Gameplay

Complete as many deliveries as possible before the timer runs out. Each successful delivery adds extra time. Aim for the highest score!


Changelog

WebGL build exists! Canvas with score doesn't scale correctly at the moment but I'm working on a fix!


MacOS build has found to be unusable, working on a fix!


V0.2.2 - Voicelines and minor bugfix

MacOs Build has been temporarily removed and will not be prioritised until later in development.

V0.2.1 - Bugfix and small features

Both Windows and MacOS builds have been updated to V0.2.1!

New Features:

  • Game now closes when you press Escape

Bugfixes:

  • Deliveries will no longer be spawned in the same spot twice in a row
  • Player walks straight again
  • Sensitity is consistent


V0.2 - Second Development Build

New features:

  • New bonus targets, located at the red indication arrows. These targets are not manditory yet provide more points (and challenge!)
  • Better tornado physics
  • Slight shader adjustments
  • Better playercontroller (still not finished)
  • {Beta} Added grapplinghook, toggle with G. Please try to play the game with and without the grapplinghook

The game has not been properly balanced yet. Please leave some suggestions for balancing in the comments!


V0.1 - First public development build.

Known bugs

  •  Player can leave city bounds
  • Tornado can rotate 180 degrees upon reaching destination
  • Tornado can move over water which looks weird

Planned features

  • Deliveries ontop of buildings which grant extra points since you have to utilise the pull of the tornado to get there (Done)
  • Damage or other interaction when player gets hit by a car/object that was flung by tornado
  • Start menu with options for sensitivity
  • Pause menu
  • Functionality to close the game without Alt+F4 (Done)
  • Many many windy noises
  • Voice lines (in the works)
  • Balance (current game has not been balanced at all)
